The Fifty Shades of Grey star – who recently filed a restraining order against an alleged stalker – donned a long black trench coat for the cold winter shoot.

A simple white shirt peeked out from Dakota’s collar as she stood with a crew member and hugged herself to keep warm.

Johnson’s lustrous dark hair cascaded down her back and little to no makeup seemed to be on her face.

Dakota was seen hugging a few friends on set before taking part in a quick rehearsal.

While Dakota will be playing the central incarnation of Madame Web, a handful of other actress are rumored to be playing multiple versions of the superhero

According to online sources, actresses Sydney Sweeney, 25, Celeste O’Connor, 23, Isabela Merced, 21, and Zosia Mamet, 34, will all be inhabiting the role in some way.

Details are slim on how all of these incarnations of the web-slinger will interact throughout the film, but that hasn’t stopped many fans from coming up with various theories.

Adam Scott sported a scruffy beard with no mustache for the shoot.

The Severance star donned a green coat buttoned up to his neckline with a pair of matching pants and casual white shoes.

Scott’s role is still shrouded in mystery, but he is rumored to be playing an older version of Peter Parker.

In fact, other than Dakota as Madame Web herself, the identities of all of the other characters have been closely guarded by the studio.

Photographs of the actors filming on set have largely been the only clues, with a recent sighting of Tahar Rahim, 41, fueling speculation that he will be playing the film’s villain Ezekiel Sims.

Madame Web is coming from Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, not to be confused with Marvel’s Spider-Man Universe franchise.

Despite this distinction, recent years have seen Sony and Marvel collaborate on various films and franchises, integrating their versions of the character.

Madame Web is derived from a supporting character in the legendary comic strip who first appeared in print in the 1980s.

The film is slated to premiere in February 2024, after multiple delays from its July 2023 release date.

It remains unclear as to how close the film will stick to its source material.

Madame Web is largely depicted in the comics as an elderly woman who is connected to a life-support system in the shape of a spider web.

After the casting of Johnson in the title role, insiders stressed to Deadline that the film will most likely be going in a whole new direction.
