All the way back in 1985, Wrangler Jeans rolled out a promotional sweepstakes. This was a scheme that offered fans a chance to win an S10 Blazer decked out in an Earnhardt/Wrangler theme livery. To get a chance to win the blazer, fans had to fill out an entry form at their local Wrangler Jeans shop. Unfortunately, not much is known about who was able to get their hands on a Dale Earnhardt blazer.

Apparently, the stock was extremely limited, as just 10 blazers were manufactured. Obviously, one of them had to go to Dale Earnhardt himself. According to Dale Jr, he still had his father’s blazer preserved in a good condition. So, that left just nine Wrangler Jeans blazers on the market. All nine were up for grabs as grand prizes in the sweepstakes. Without a doubt, several fans would have been rushing to the nearest Wrangler Jeans outlets to register and be part of it.

Several years later, the brand was at it once again, with another sweepstakes event. This time, the subject was Dale Earnhardt Jr and this was back in 2010. However, the grand prize was even bigger, as fans would get a chance to own a tire from the #3 Wrangler Jean Machine that Dale Jr drove. Other contents of the grand prize included Wrangler Jeans hats, jackets, t-shirts and pants, and even a gift card.

Other prizes consisted of a diecast #3 race car, clothes, hats, and gift certificates. The sweepstakes event was supposed to be a tribute to Dale Jr’s father, who is still revered to this day. The #3 Dale Earnhardt Jr car was the one that he drove to Victory Lane in the 2010 Subway Jalapeno 250. During that particular race, he finished ahead of Joey Logano, Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Brad Keselowski, and Kevin Harvick.
