According to Screenrant, Deadpool is bringing Wolverine into MCU, along with one of the main creative’s blessings. As the MCU is expanding after Disney’s acquisition of Fox and Deadpool is one of the latest entries to the franchise, the future of X-Men family has become a burning question. Moreover, after Ryan Reynolds officially announced Wolverine’s entry into the MCU last September, the movie’s stakes went even higher.

While talking with Empire recently, Jackman opened up about his upcoming superhero project and his reprise of his iconic role onscreen. During the conversation, Jackman revealed his conversation with 2017’s ‘Logan’ director James Mangold and reflected that Mangold was really cool about the fact.

He further noted that he told him about the timeline of the movie and that Mangold was relieved by the storyline of this movie will not affect the ending of ‘Logan’.  Jackman said, “He was actually really cool about it. I did tell him it takes place before our movie, so I wasn’t going to screw it up with my claws coming out of the grave. He was relieved by that.”

Adding about the relationship between Wolverine and Deadpool in the movie, Jackman noted the vast difference in their characters and jokingly added that Wolverine would be annoyed and want to punch Deadpool in the head. This would not be the first interaction between Wolverine and Deadpool on the big screen. The first combination of this duo was seen in the infamous ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009 and again in the post-credit scene of ‘Deadpool 2’.

‘Deadpool’, ‘Deadpool 2’ and ‘Logan’ are now streaming on Disney Plus.
