Revealing that he hopes for something good, a Variety reporter spilt some beans.

In his column for the publication, Marc Malkin wrote, “I introduced NTR Jr. to top Marvel Studios executive Victoria Alonso at Billboard’s official Golden Globes after-party on Jan. 10. The two chatted for only a moment, but let’s hope this is the start of something big.”

Earlier when asked if he wishes to do a Marvel film, NTR had told Malkin, “I would love to do it. I’m waiting for it to happen.” Naming Iron Man as his Marvel superhero, NTR had said, “He’s so relatable. He is someone like us. He does not have superpowers. He doesn’t come from a different planet. He’s not someone who has been put through a science experiment and become the Hulk.”

Just minutes after NTR’s byte, actor Ram Charan also answered the same question and said, “Absolutely, Captain America! Why not? We also have amazing superheroes in India. Why not invite one of our superheroes to come here?” For the unversed, to date, only a handful of South Asian stars have featured in Marvel projects, including Fawad Khan, Farhan Akhtar, and Kumail Nanjiani among others.

Jr NTR says that there’s very little divide between Hollywood and Indian cinema.

He told LA Times, “We are just divided by time zones and a little bit of an accent. Other than that, what an actor goes through in the West is exactly the same process as in the East.” Reacting to RRR’s tickets getting sold within 98 seconds at Los Angeles’ iconic TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX, NTR quoted, “This was faster than cooking Maggi. That’s the fastest food you can actually cook back in India!”

In the same interview, NTR also talked about RRR’s director SS Rajamouli and said, “I always felt this man was not destined to make only films in Telugu or in India. He is one of those rare phenomenons who can travel the globe with his films. With each film, he’s only gotten better. I feel that ‘RRR’ was his plan of taking the West. What makes us very proud is that a small industry from South India, Tollywood, and one movie called ‘RRR’ could open the gates to global cinema and bring us here.”
