He said, “I think that creatively it is a waste of time to be at war with ourselves. Throwing stones one way or another… and I’ve had my reactions in the past when people said things that I felt were discrediting my integrity…I go, you know what, let’s just get over it. We’re all a community. There’s enough room for everything and thank God for Top Gun: Maverick and Avatar: The Way of Water. That’s all I have to say.”

What did Quentin Tarantino say about Marvel movies and stars?

Quentin Tarantino said that he doesn’t believe there are movie stars in Hollywood anymore and one of the main reasons for the same is the success of Marvel movies. “Part of the Marvelization of Hollywood is you have all these actors who have become famous playing these characters,” he said on 2 Bears, 1 Cave podcast. “But they’re not movie stars. Captain America is the star. Thor is the star,” he added.

“I mean, I’m not the first person to say that, I think that’s been said a zillion times. But it’s these franchise characters that become a star,” he said.

He also said that Hollywood is only interested in making superhero movies at the moment.

“They’re the only things that seem to generate any kind of excitement amongst a fan base or even for the studio making them. That’s what they’re excited about. And so it’s just the fact that they are the entire representation of this era of movies right now. There’s not really much room for anything else. That’s my problem.”
