Following the world premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, critics praised the long-awaited epic.

According to critics, upcoming Marvel Studios epic Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is better than the inaugural 2018 film. On Wednesday night (October 27), the film’s cast and crew attended the Wakanda Forever world premiere at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles to grace the purple carpet and honor the late Chadwick Boseman.

“I got to have him in my life for the short time that I did,”  Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told Variety about Boseman’s impact. “More importantly, he did it at such a young age, such a body of work, that it will last forever. Generation after generation after generation will get to feel his presence.”

The film was clearly just as emotional, with some critics praising Wakanda Forever for its heartfelt score – including two new songs from music icon Rihanna – and performances from notable cast members including Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, and Lupita N’yongo.

Wakanda Forever will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions,” film critic Wendy Lee Szany of The Movie Couple tweeted. “While Chadwick’s absence is felt, the cast’s performance is phenomenal. The journey and mourning each cast goes through is felt through the film.”

Others echoed Szany’s sentiment, including Kevin Mcarthy of Good Day DC, and actress and script writer Dani Fernandez.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever makes its theatrical debut on Friday, November 11. Read more reviews of the film below.
