A skilled martial artist journeys to Rome to visit his relatives, only to discover that criminals are coercing them into selling their property. He responds to their brute force tactics with his own formidable skills, compelling them to gather an alliance of international martial arts experts. Tang Lung, portrayed by Bruce Lee, arrives in Rome to offer support to his cousins who manage a restaurant. Their property is under pressure from a syndicate that will go to any lengths to achieve their aims. Tang’s presence introduces a new challenge to the syndicate, and their attempts to defeat him are in vain. To counter him, the syndicate’s leader recruits elite martial artists from Japan and Europe, but Tang defeats them effortlessly. The syndicate then enlists the services of American martial artist Colt, played by Chuck Norris, setting the stage for a climactic showdown between Tang and Colt within Rome’s iconic Colosseum.
