A guest star with a classic comedy connection, a returning surgeon, and relationships that were left hanging in Season 2.

Damon Wayans checks in

Wayans guest stars in the season premiere as Dr. Highland, a charming but pompous doctor covering for Dr. Ron (David Alan Grier) while Ron recovers from surgery. It’s a reunion for the two In Living Color co-stars.

Ariana Madix returns

Madix is back as heart surgeon Dr. Brooke Emerson, a colleague and ex-girlfriend of Bruce (Josh Lawson).

Matt & Serena

The brewing relationship between Matt and Serena was a key cliffhanger from Season 2. Kahyun Kim says Matt “brings out a very vulnerable part of Serena.”

Ron & Joyce

Season 2 ended with Ron waking from surgery and asking for Executive Director Joyce. David Alan Grier teases “a lot of romance budding and flourishing amongst the cast.”
