Live Nation Spain · Madrid · Sept. 18 – Oct. 12

The Crowning Chapter Of A Record Tour

Shakira didn’t just play Madrid, she took it over. The 13-show run was the European crown jewel of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, drawing more than 700,000 fans to the Spanish capital and wrapping on October 12.

The first nine shows alone sold 452,097 tickets, averaging more than 50,000 a night, and grossed $61.3 million, according to Pollstar. That was enough to debut at No. 1 on the Pollstar LIVE75 chart for September.

With Madrid in the books, the tour’s reported gross stands at $534.4 million from more than 4 million tickets sold since it launched in Rio de Janeiro on February 11, 2025. Her team bills it as the highest-grossing Latin tour of all time.

Welcome To Shakira City

Live Nation Spain skipped the usual stadium and built a destination.

A Stadium Built For One

A temporary open-air stadium designed by architecture firm BIG held more than 50,000 fans a night, at the heart of the purpose-built Macondo Park in Madrid’s Villaverde district.

Hours Of Culture

Beyond the concerts, the park programmed more than 400 hours of Latin art, literature, fashion and gastronomy, with over 1,500 artists and performers.

The Madrid Effect

Shakira’s team says the residency generated more than $200 million for the city, with tourism and hotel demand outpacing both Formula 1 and a papal visit.

A Stage Full Of Guests

Madrid doubled as a celebration of Latin music, with a rotating cast of stars sharing the stage.

The run closed on October 12 with a show billed around the theme of Latinidad, and the guest list across the 13 nights read like a who’s who of Spanish-language music and beyond.

For fans who couldn’t make it to Spain, a livestream of the residency set a new Amazon Music record as the platform’s most-watched live-streamed performance by a female artist.
