Who Is The Next 007?
Amazon MGM still hasn’t named the new James Bond, but the producer running the search says an announcement by year’s end is “a good bet.” Here’s where the hunt stands.

The creative team is set. The leading man is not.
A Clean Slate For A Spy
Nobody has been cast yet, and the studio isn’t pretending otherwise. Producer Amy Pascal told Deadline in early August that the identity of the next Bond could come out by the end of 2026, while stressing that Amazon MGM is being “really, really methodical.”
Denis Villeneuve is directing, with Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, writing the script. Pascal and David Heyman are producing. Production is expected to start in 2027, with a release targeted for 2028. Amazon hasn’t announced a firm release date.

Isaac Rouse Is Young Bond
Actor Isaac Rouse (The Crown) plays the teenage James Bond in SilverFin, a full-cast audio drama from Big Finish and Ian Fleming Publications based on Charlie Higson’s 2005 novel. It runs 16 half-hour episodes across two box sets and is due this October. It is separate from the Villeneuve film.
